Michael has over 15 years’ experience in property finance and the construction industry, specialising in development and construction loans ranging from $1 million to $70 million across New Zealand. Throughout his career, he has successfully sourced and facilitated more than $1.5 billion in property development finance for projects nationwide.
With a strong foundation in construction, Michael brings a unique, practical perspective to property finance. He looks beyond the financial metrics to understand the real-world complexities of each project, enabling him to provide clients with pragmatic, solutions-focused advice throughout the life of a project. Michael has worked extensively with leading developers and builders throughout New Zealand, contributing to the delivery of large-scale residential communities, including a significant number of affordable homes for New Zealanders.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Construction Economics from Unitec Institute of Technology. He is fluent in both Chinese and English, positioning him strongly within Auckland’s multicultural market and enabling deep relationships within the New Zealand Chinese building and development industry.
