Our Team

The Principal of the Company, Martyn, has approximately 40 years experience in corporate and commercial banking. Prior to establishing Reesby & Co in 1994, he worked at Fay Richwhite & Co. for nine years sourcing finance for New Zealand corporates, property investors and property developers. Over this time he has sourced well over $15 billion of finance for New Zealand corporates and property companies. Martyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University. He specialises in funding the larger property developments throughout New Zealand mainly from offshore lenders.  Martyn has sourced more development finance for New Zealand developers than anyone else.

Ollie joined Reesby & Company in 2014 and has over 13 years' experience in commercial property finance. Ollie has a banking background with BNZ and National Australia Bank and during this time sourced finance for some of Australasia's largest private developers. Since joining Reesby & Company, Ollie has successfully arranged well over $3.0 billion of property development finance for projects across New Zealand.

Ollie holds both Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Auckland and has completed several industry related courses since.

Tom specialises in property development loans from $3 million to $50 million throughout New Zealand. He has significant funding and development knowledge from his time working in the sector as a lender and developer in New Zealand and Australia and can assist developers in solving issues before and when they appear.

Prior to working for Spinnaker and Reesby & Co, Tom lived in Sydney working for property giant JLL and Savills.

Tom Huang (BCOM/LLB) specialises in all areas of property development work, from two lot residential subdivisions to large complex developments as well as property syndication. Tom has been involved in many significant property transactions (in excess of NZ$200m of property acquisitions, mainly for the Auckland Market) including the provision of real estate services, property and due diligence advice. 

Tom’s legal and accounting background enables him to give practical solutions to his clients on property finance needs by providing value added, professional and client-orientated services as well as creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for Reesby’s valuable clients.

Jack joined Reesby & Co in 2021 and has over 10 years experience in banking and commercial property finance. Jack previously held managers' roles at ANZ Property Finance and one of New Zealand’s largest non-bank lenders. During this time, he sourced and managed funding for some of New Zealand's prominent commercial property developers and investors.

Jack holds both Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Otago.

Luke has over 10 years' experience in property finance specialising in investment and development funding with domestic and international credit providers. Luke specialises in loans between $20 Million - $150 Million nationwide.

Prior to joining Reesby & Co, Luke has worked on over $2.0 Billion of financing with NZ banks, non-banks, high net worth investors / family offices, fund managers and hedge funds based in Asia Pacific & Northern America.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Commerce, double majoring in property valuation and management from Lincoln University, Canterbury, NZ.

Paul is a Chartered Accountant member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (since 1998). He began his career in Auckland as an auditor with the chartered accountancy firm Spicer & Oppenheim then spent 6 ½ years in the UK working in the London financial services market. Since returning to New Zealand in 2003 he has continued his commercial experience in financial services for companies operating in both New Zealand and Australia. Paul joined Reesby & Company in June 2010.

Nobu has extensive experience in property development and commercial property investment. Prior to joining Reesby & Company, Nobu provided consultancy and brokerage services to many of New Zealand's prominent property investors and developers for over 10 years. He has assisted with securing in the region of $5 billion of finance for property developments, commercial investments, and corporate restructures. Nobu has particular expertise in the Wellington property market.

Nobu holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration with a Major in Finance from Victoria University of Wellington.
